We are a private training provider, offering a range of training courses to business, we offer accredited programmes in Management through ILM and City & Guilds and Health & Safety course through IOSH and NEBOSH, we also offer 1 and 2 days courses to support employers. We are a small team and work with a number of clients locally and further afield, we also do training in South Korea.

Main description

  • We are a private training provider, offering a range of training courses to business, offering accredited programmes. We are currently looking for an Administration apprentice to join and learn within our team.
  • We are a small business, so the work on offer would be varied.
  • We have administration to complete for our delegates, some courses are over a 12 month period and the delegates have to submit assessments, which have to be marked and recorded.
  • We have note preparation which involves making sure course materials are up to date, using word and powerpoint, these are either printed and issued or emailed, depending on the client.
  • We have courses at the office, so there is the opportunity to meet and greet clients, talk to customers on the phone.
  • We are also happy to develop someone into marketing, working on our website, social media, maybe attending an exhibition.
  • There would also be opportunity if Health & Safety was an area of interest to complete your H&S Qualifications and work with the trainers on exam techniques, marking assessments.

Entry requirements

Grades 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English - Essential.

Ideally we would like the applicant to be competent in the use of MS Office - particularly Word, Excel and Powerpoint. These are desirable. The most important requirement would be willingness to learn and work as part of a small team.

Training to be Provided

The learner will be studying the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.

Things to consider

The position is office based in Fornham St Genevieve, we are a small team, so we all work together and complete any tasks which need to be done. There is a lot of computer work, but tasks can be organised to be away from the computer some of the day.

Future Prospects

We are happy to develop the successful applicant in an area of interest, such as Marketing or Health & Safety, there would be a full time position at the end of the apprenticeship within administration. As a small business the work can be flexible and varied, but realistically there will not be an opportunity to be a Supervisor/Manager.
