Engineering Technicians work in sciences related fields to assist engineers in research, development, maintenance and quality control. They work in the civil, mechanical and electrical engineering sectors as well as the construction industry and will usually work under the supervision of professional engineers.
GCSE's at grades 9 -4 (A-C) in subjects such as maths, science, English, and technology would be preferable. You could get started through an apprenticeship or you could complete an engineering course at college.
