App developers are responsible for designing, building and maintaining mobile apps and sometimes web applications. They are heavily involved in coding and other technical aspects of the app and will likely also be involved with layout design. They can also be involved with the maintenance, additions and updates of existing apps
Application Developers will use programming languages or source code to create software to meet their clients requirements for mobile apps and games.
Formal qualifications are not always required but extensive web development skills are essential, a BTEC/HND/Degree in app/web development or a computing related subject would be advantageous.
Some employers offer graduate training schemes and you might be able to begin in a junior position with other IT qualifications if you can demonstrate excellent skills in app development technologies.
You should demonstrate a keen interest in mobile technologies and have a broad understanding of various mobile devices and software.
