If you are interested in learning more about a career in Accountancy we have opportunities throughout the year for 1-2 weeks work experience placements at all of our regional offices.
We'll make sure you spend your time valuably and come away with a good idea of what the business of accountancy involves. Some of our present staff started on work experience with us, so you never know what opportunities you might be opening up.
Ideally, you'll be on target to achieve grade Cs or above in your A levels. Graduate level entrants need to be expecting at least a 2:1. To apply to our programme you'll need to be in Year 12 or 13, or S5 or S6.

f you want to learn more about a career in accountancy we have intern opportunities during the summer at some of our offices. Spend between six and eight weeks with us and you'll get a real insight into life as a trainee accountant.
Interns work alongside our accounting, audit and other specialist teams to get valuable work experience. You'll have the opportunity to see everyday working life within the profession, and more specifically how we do things at Larking Gowen.

Larking Gowen offer you the opportunity to train as an accountant in a supportive yet challenging environment, gaining experience in everything from audit and accounts preparation to corporation and personal tax and VAT. You can also spend time in some of our specialist sector teams such as Agriculture and Farming, Tourism, Medical, Food and Drink, Construction, Business Recovery and Insolvency or CorporationTax.
As well as training accountants, we also help insolvency administrators and insolvency practitioners, corporate finance and business finance specialists and tax specialists with their professional development. All our staff are encouraged to take professional qualifications, including those in support functions.
We closely support your progress to ensure that you develop to your full potential. We fund your training fees, including tuition, exams and membership of your chosen professional institute, as well as giving you time off work to study.

At Larking Gowen we offer a number of routes to study and a number of points of direct entry.
Each year we take on a number of A Level students on AAT training contracts. Your initial two year period of study and work experience will provide exposure to various aspects of accountancy, including auditing, accounts preparation, bookkeeping, personal and corporate tax and business development.
We also take on a number of graduates each year, on ICAEW training contracts. Your initial three year period of study and work experience will provide exposure to various aspects of accountancy, including auditing, accounts preparation, bookkeeping, personal and corporate tax and business development.
