Piers, was one of our greatest success stories? He joined the programme as a Health & Fitness Apprentice where he successfully completed his NVQ Level 3 Personal Training qualification. Proving to be a natural within the industry, Piers was fast tracked into a management role where he gained a whole new set of management skills. Piers has now gone on to fulfil his career ambition to be Personal Trainer with the RAF. Piers also won a SADs award for successful cardiac resuscitation. Something that South Suffolk Leisure is incredibly proud of.
Sam, joined as a Leisure apprentice in October 2013 and now works as a Manager on Duty and explains why he chose an apprenticeship…
"Every job I applied for wanted experience even though I did get good grades at school. This apprenticeship has given me that experience whilst becoming more confident, improved my communication skills and given me qualifications."
Mick Packer, Contract Manager says;
"Piers and Sam are just two of around 35 apprentices that South Suffolk Leisure have seen through our programme since 2010. Both men are great examples of what an apprentice can achieve if they are willing to work hard and engage in the full range of training available."
