Description
The Team
Enterprise Technology is responsible for providing IT (Information Technology) services to the whole company (the enterprise). We are recruiting for Technology Apprentices to work across two of our teams, the Cyber Security team and the Cloud team (Engineering and Projects).
- The Cyber Security Team is responsible for our cyber security platforms, educating everyone on cyber security, driving innovation and new technologies to ensure that our data and the data of our clients is secure.
- The Cloud Team provides talented experts, tools, resources, education, and support on cloud technologies, enabling the use of these new technologies safely.
The Role

Location: Ipswich
This role is varied and challenging, and you will get a chance to work in the latest technology to support our business. The roles encompass a wide range of different types of work, from analysing data, writing documents, talking to the business segments, fixing problems, presenting information, etc. After an initial month of induction, we will collaborate with you on what is the best stream of work for you to develop within:
- Data Analyst
- Associate Project Manager
- Cyber Security (Engineering ) Technologist
- Information Communication Technician

For example, our Apprentices have been finalists in external awards for Apprentice of the Year, in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
Training & Qualifications
This Apprenticeship is typically 18- 24 months. In addition to on-the-job training, you will also receive a highly competitive study support package to support you gaining a qualification. You will be fully supported by your team, the WTW apprentice team and our official government approved Training Provider throughout the duration of the programme.
There will be opportunities for further training including technical qualifications e.g. Azure certifications.
Our programme also provides access to senior mentors and a “buddy network” to support your wider career development, with ample networking and experience-building opportunities.
These roles are to commence September 2022
Qualifications
The Requirements
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) in any subject at grade A-C (9-4) including English and Maths
- Enthusiasm about technology
- Passion to learn
- Desire to improve yourself
- Self-discipline, determination, and an appreciation of the demands of studying while working
- Ability to be professional
- Ability to analyse situations, provide recommendations and be flexible in approach in order to resolve problems
- Software skills in using Microsoft tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint or equivalents
- Be a team player
We will also offer the opportunity for a pre-interview workshop with the opportunity to meet with currrent apprentices and discuss the roles in greater detail.
