To assist in providing care for members at the centre in accordance with the centre’s risk management and support the rest of the care team. Assist members on arrival and departure, prepare and serve refreshments and wash crockery and utensils after use including loading/unloading the dishwasher. Assist driver on the minibus to ensure members are safely taken to/from their homes/minibus and centre. To undertake training, both in person and online to achieve industry appropriate qualifications. Answer telephone, take messages and resolve minor queries. Ensure all visitors to the centre are expected and signed in and out of the building. Help to entertain and engage members in a range of activities. Assisting members with toileting and personal care as needed, whilst ensuring toilets and other centre facilities are cleaned and sanitised and compliant with the centre’s risk management protocols. Other duties appropriate to the role as may be agreed from time to time with the care team. We are looking for people of a caring nature from all walks of life willing to develop their skills, as full training will be given experience is not essential. Whilst working with the vunerable you will be: Be supportive and approachable as you will be working vulnerable people. Having excellent communication is a must have as you will have the opportunity to build relationships to those we support and their families. You must be patient with the ability to be calm under pressure as your daily routine could change at any moment. Conduct yourself in an appropriate manner with regard to the centre’s professional, understanding your own personal responsibility. Deliver a high standard of care with empathy and understanding of clients needs.
