As a busy and constantly growing community development charity, that manages several community projects, RNT is looking for an adaptable office administrator to assist with the smooth running of our office, based in Ramsey Library. The person will need to be adaptable and be able to deal with public and organisational enquiries. They will be required to complete basic office duties such as filing, photocopying, answering and redirecting phone and email enquiries, order general office supplies, attend staff meetings and keep the office environment in good order. The appointed person will be expected to occasionally assist at community events and activities, distribute publicity materials and always reflect a positive image of our charity. As general office administrator they will need to work alongside our individual project leads, project administrators and trustees to ensure consistency across the board.
By undertaking this role, the successful applicant will develop their organisational, IT and communication skills. They will learn how to adapt to an ever-changing busy office environment and be an integral part of our small team. They will learn how to order and maintain stock levels and how to sign-post enquiries. The appointed person will learn about how the charity sector works and the importance of working with other organisations/statutory bodies to achieve the best outcome for the people/groups we work with. They will learn about the GDPR regulations, experience how community events/activities are organised and publicised and gain an understanding of the importance of confidentiality in the workplace.
