You will be part of a small team of other Kickstart trainees, staff and volunteers working on reshaping our approach to collections. You will help to organise consultation with people who do not yet engage with the museum, do research to broaden the stories we acknowledge hidden histories and produce content for the web. Some of this role could be done from home.
What will I learn?
You will be trained to use collections software and learn research skills. You will develop and improve your communications and digital skills. You may be interested in a career in museums, but you will learn skills and systems which are transferrable to other businesses. There will also be opportunities to get involved with other aspects of the museum e.g. the museums events programme.
