We are looking for enthusiastic candidates, who are passionate about the outdoors and working with people, who we can train and guide towards a career in the outdoors and outdoor development.
You will work with people from many social backgrounds from school children visiting for a day of fun, team building and adventurous activities, to those who experience complicated life circumstances and are on our personal development programmes.
Through the provision of centre based, wilderness and activity led personal and social development programmes, you will actively assist to improve the confidence, motivation and core life skills that each individual needs to make a positive change to their lives.
You must have the ability and willing to motivate and encourage young people and adults and the ability and willingness to assist with the delivery of safe, purposeful, challenging and fun sessions that meet the needs of the guests.
Key responsibilities include:
You will assist in the delivery of safe and effective activities including expeditions, team dynamics, canoeing, roped activities, DofE, archery, bushcraft and raft building.
You will assist in the maintaining and cleaning of the site and the activity equipment and complete records of this.
You will have the responsibility of keeping a training log of all the activities and training that you do.
You will need to attend meetings on time and be able to adapt to a changing programme.
You will be liaising with groups and putting them and their needs first before your own.
Have a full driving licence.
To be smart and presentable in appearance.
