Overall Responsibilities are to work within a team to provide a safe, enjoyable, and secure environment for all visitors to The Zone.
Specific responsibilities would be to supervise play by facilitating the safe and productive use of The Zone by children and young people, plus parents and carers. Supervising children on the play equipment and prompt parents to respond to issues or act directly where appropriate. You will need to ensure that Health and Safety procedures set by the Zone Manager are implemented fully and completely. Complete regular health and safety checks and maintain clear records to check the soft play area before and after each use to ensure it is safe and clean. Working as a team the whole facility including washrooms and offices is kept to high standard of cleanliness.
Café area you will need to provide a friendly welcome to the customers and take and deliver food and refreshment orders promptly and courteously to their tables. Clearing and cleaning tables during and after each session.
Birthday parties you will be required to help set up and clear party areas and insure everyone has fun during their visit whilst,
maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Other duties would include accurately recording attendances, actions, events and issues in a confidential record book and dealing with general enquiries from members of the public. Reporting any incidents or issues, equipment problems or concerns of risk promptly, to your manager or duty manager. Provide a listening ear to young people and reporting any safeguarding concerns promptly following the Suffolk Social Care Safeguarding Protocols as adapted for The Zone. To attend meetings as required by the management and to act as a good ambassador for the council. Undertake and attend training as required to enable you to do a broader range of duties within your personal capability.
