Your key responsibilities will be ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic. Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately. Sorting, storing, organising and distributing ingredients in the correct, hygienic manner. Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking foodstuffs and helping to prepare foods alongside the chefs. You will also be responsible for the disposal of rubbish, organising linen laundry, and cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas.
You will also help develop efficient systems for storage, stocktaking and inventory of ingredients and kitchen essentials.
The Kitchen Supervisor will be a crucial role in the smooth running of the whole kitchen operation. You will learn the importance of health, hygiene, organisation and attention to detail, whilst also garnering good kitchen and food preparation experience.
We will also provide you with training to attain your Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, while helping you on to the first rungs of kitchen management and chef work.
