Our Tool Hire departments are there to help customers find the tools they need and arrange a hiring contract for them. It could be anything from earth-movers to drills, but whatever equipment is required, safety will always be the top priority. Within this role, you will learn how to service and maintain our catalogue of tools that are available for hire and we will also provide you with the opportunity to work on your sales skills by talking to our valued customers, getting to understand their projects and whether Tool Hire can be a part of that. No one day is the same as the next in branch life, but here are a few pointers on what to expect.
Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so the key thing is to be helpful and friendly at all times, you will likely get to know our customers on a first name basis. We will train you up on our systems so that you are able to prepare quotes for customers and provide information about our products and services.
To ensure we are able to support as many of our customers as possible with their tool hire needs, you will support the team with the testing of tools and equipment to ensure they are fit for purpose. Where repairs are required, you will be effectively diagnosing faults and repairing the faulty parts. It is important to prioritise in this role, ensuring you are repairing and testing tools to meet the demands of your customer base.
