To prepare, cook and present all dishes to the required standard as well as assisting the Head Chef in the daily kitchen duties; ensuring that all orders and requests are served in line with the company standards, and all food hygiene and safety procedures are adhered to at all times. The commis chef will need to ensure that all equipment and utensils are stored correctly and safely, and to regularly maintain and check all equipment and report any defects when needed. To assist with deliveries and their correct storage and ensure all equipment and chemicals are used correctly to the manufacturer’s instructions, whilst maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment. To continue good communication channels with the Food and Beverage team as well as the rest of the kitchen and to treat all colleagues with respect and help should they require assistance. The Commis chef should be prepared to undertake any other reasonable task when requested to do so by Supervisors and Management.
