The aim of this role is to support the Sustainability and Learning Manager in working across different businesses and teams to deliver these goals. Obtaining and analysing baseline data is key as well as inspiring team members to deliver change.
There is scope for some special interest work for example around renewable energy generation or electric vehicle charging for the right candidate. Similarly, there can be a focus on one area of research e.g. reducing carbon emissions or creating nature based solutions.
To support the Sustainability and Learning Manager to deliver the Estates strategy.
To collect, analyse and share project baseline data including farmland bird surveys, electricity/fuel/water usage and other data as required.
To work with retail, Café and farms teams to reduce the amount of single use plastic used. This includes auditing the current levels and sourcing other viable alternatives.
To work with existing teams to monitor and report their waste, energy, fuel and water usage.
To identify project areas which will contribute to our carbon reduction programmes and working with senior managers/heads of departments investigate these schemes e.g. solar energy generation
To undertake research into Live projects or topics including appraisals of other businesses or best practise.
