As an out of school club play worker your role will be to support childrens play and work as a team member for the smooth running of the club.
To be responsible for the care of all children and ensure that their play opportunities are met.
To be a role-model, lead activities and be directly involved in the care of children.
To report any concerns or problems to the play leader or deputy play leader.
Meet and greet new and existing children and settle them into activities, as well as giving guided tours to new families.
Set up play spaces and resources so children can play independently.
Support childrens play needs by either joining in or supervising in an unobtrusive manner.
Assist with day-to-day administration, record keeping, cleaning and care of the site and equipment as required.
Deal with any inappropriate, unacceptable or challenging behaviour in line with CKCs Behaviour Policy.
Work independently and as part of the team to meet the standards CKC has set to provide quality care.
To operate within all Policies and Procedures and Working Manuals of CKC at all times.
Produce list of resources needed for running activities in the plan.
To assist in the planning and delivery of activities and outings in school holidays.
Consulting children to produce weekly menu.
Prepare and provide snacks for the children.
Clear up after children finished their food.
To attend all courses relevant to enhance your career and benefit the club.
To reflect on daily practice and continuously develop and implement the setting quality improvement action plan.
To initiate new ideas in accordance with best practice and under the guidance of the Play leader or deputy play leader.
Respect confidentiality ensuring sensitive information relating to CKC and any staff or children attending is not disclosed unless due to welfare concern.
Complete safety checks of the area in which you are working to ensure the safety of children remains paramount.
To undertake any other duties which might reasonably be expected of you.
