Workshop duties will consist of preparing granite and natural stone for lettering and design work, including installing fixing systems into memorials to prepare for installation into burial grounds.
This will include using polishing machines to hone and/or polish surfaces, drills to prepare for fixings, coring machines for containers and flower pots, grinders to shape and/or renovate older memorials and torque wrenches to install fixing systems.
Key skills will be learning finesse with above tools and developing a keen eye for detail to insure quality as all aspects will be inspected by strict Quality Control.
Fixing aspect will be travelling with a trained mason to install and erect memorials into burial grounds. This would entail some digging and careful moving of a memorial and some heavy lifting as well as a keen eye for detail to be sure a grave is left in the best possible manner. Full training and support would be given. This can also mean meting the bereaved on as we attend ashes interments and place the memorial at the time of the burial. The right candidate will be respectful and tidy in appearance.
