As the Community Education Assistant, you will assist the Community Education Manager and Director of Education with the implementation of the trust’s community education programmes. This includes, assisting with face to face / online tutoring/teaching of our adult education programmes, delivery of community outcomes and assisting with the administration of the programme. The role will help to deliver the trust’s outcomes of assisting people furthest away from the employment, getting back into employment by using the power of health and wellbeing. The role will include supporting the Community Education Manager in the recruitment of learners who are one or more of the following; suffer with a long term condition, older person, inactive, furthest away from the labour market, unemployed, living in an area of deprivation or looking to kickstart new education or work. In addition, the successful candidate will support with responding to learners via phone, email and text messaging, booking them in for session, supporting the learner content, providing pastoral support where required and ensuring they are able to complete their programme. You will be required to support the trust’s programmes so they achieve key performance indicators.
You will also assist with any funding applications, gathering key information relevant to the bid documentation, helping to write and submit the bids.
As part of the community education growth plan, you will assist with the creation of several different online learning courses, from planning, creation, researching, online management, sales, delivery and administration of these courses. This will involve using online platforms to help create and market the content to targeted audiences, working with the marketing teams to ensure we hit key performance indicators.
As part of the role, you will assist with the trust’s physical activity and health strategy. Within this, you will be required to actively engage with several our health and wellbeing programmes such as exercise on referral, our charity schemes, specialist long term condition programmes (diabetes etc.) and working with those individuals who are eligible for one of our programmes or discounted membership packages. You will be actively involved in the delivery an administration of these schemes with the direct support of the Community Education Manager.
