SPILL is an adventurous international festival of contemporary arts, lovingly crafted in Ipswich. This year our festival will run across 5 days in October, (27th - 31st October 2021). We are looking for a Festival Marketing Admin Assistant to support the administration and marketing teams with the preparation, delivery and aftermath of SPILL Festival 2021.
GENERAL TASKS: work with the marketing manager to deliver the digital communications plan, create and deliver regular e-newsletters, assist in researching marketing trends and maintain the brand voice across all platforms, develop and promote filmed content and help document events for archival and marketing purposes,
maintain and update the SPILL website, keep social media platforms alive, work on design and copywriting, ensure ticket sales are running smoothly and undertake many other tasks, provide administrative support to the senior administrator, including fulfilment of merchandise sales, assisting with office management and organising and maintaining the company’s think tank premises, provide hands-on event set up and take down assistance for events, hires and residencies at the think tank and provide admin support to producers and other SPILL team members across all aspects of preparing for the SPILL festival.
FESTIVAL TASKS: implement and monitor marketing campaigns across SPILL festival 2021. You will play a key role in maintaining and developing our communications, working on our website, email, social media, online advertising, ambient branding, print and other marketing activity, assist with the set up and running of SPILL’s box office and booking system. Work alongside the marketing manager to ensure booking systems are operating effectively pre-festival, and be part of the team delivering in-person and door sales during the festival, be a key player in gathering and collating evaluation data, mapping our audience demographic and using your findings to contribute to the digital strategy, provide a broad variety of on the ground support for the team, volunteers and artists/companies during SPILL festival 2021, assist with requests from the team, including helping with props, printing, brochure distribution and logistics and other general assistance across all aspects of the festival. Total hours per week: 25, Working hours: 10am-6.30pm, Mon-Thurs, Hourly rate £9.23. We are looking for an individual with a sharp eye for detail, strong editorial skills and a keen interest in the arts, you must possess a high level of communication skills: written, verbal and face-to-face. The chosen candidate will be able to communicate appropriately with a wide range of people, we are a close-knit small organisation made up of team players. To be an effective member of the team, you would need to be willing to pitch in to help others get tasks done, have a ‘can-do’ attitude and a sense of humour, we are a busy company, so you would need to have strong organisational skills to plan and prioritise while responding to changing priorities, and the ability to work on your own initiative to meet deadlines, there are lots of opportunities to up-skill, train and grow at our organisation, so we would hope the successful candidate was open to learning and development and over the festival period, you will be required to be flexible with your working pattern and may be asked to work evenings and weekends.
