Key deliverables: Service Delivery. The post holder is required to assist the Catering Manager with general day to day operations of the Department; this may include: Responding to enquiries from clients, customer and staff ensuring emails and telephones are answered promptly, politely and efficiently. Raising Purchase orders for stock and other items – (training will be given). Assisting the Catering Manager with planned and unplanned inspections and audits at our Catering sites. Taking part in planning and developing menus and recipes. Liaising with suppliers to assist with continued menu development. Supporting the Catering Manager with general admin duties including; data collection, filing and document control. Assisting with accurate monthly stock takes. Assisting with correct and cost-effective stock rotation/maintenance. The post holder is required to have a flexible approach to work and provide general support to the Catering Manager on a regular basis. The post holder, on occasion, must be prepared to cover staffing shortages for which appropriate notice, where possible, will be given. (training will be given). The post holder is required to participate in training required for the role. The post holder will, be required to wear appropriate office attire at all times whilst at work. PPE will be provided and must be worn in the areas that require its use. Effective Decision Making. The post holder will receive instructions and directions daily from the Catering Manager. The post holder must be able to work effectively alone and unsupervised. They must make independent decisions when responding to queries in line with Peterborough Limited policies and procedures identifying the most appropriate person for queries to be directed to. Planning and Organising Self and Others. The post holder will assist the Catering Manager in planning and organising the use of resources in order to provide an effective and efficient service. The post holder will be expected to assist in the planning of duty rotas to ensure the most efficient and safe service is carried out at all times.
