Bury St Edmunds Guildhall is a heritage building which now serves as a venue for corporate meetings, private functions, weddings, exhibitions and heritage events. This job will be to assist our two members of staff with a wide range of administrative duties. These will include answering the telephone & taking messages, filing, posting social media updates, assisting with planning & delivery of functions, general office functions and other duties to assist permanent staff members with their daily tasks. The majority of your work will be weekday, but there will be occasions when you will be asked to work evenings or weekends for events, when your normal hours will be amended to take account of this, weekly hours will not exceed 25. Bury St Edmunds Guildhall is nearly 1,000 years old and is situated in the centre of the busy market town of Bury St Edmunds. Our offices overlook a beautiful walled garden and you will work either in our Georgian offices or in the Guildhall itself. We have a variety of great clients, many who have become regulars and friends. We have an active team of volunteers so you would be joining a small, friendly but active group of people who are passionate about maintaining this unique building for future generations.
