As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you’ll be part of a team responsible for carrying out grounds maintenance activities and assisting operations on site, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest specification and that a quality service is provided. You 'll also ensure that all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and equipment is kept in a safe working condition. Successful applicants will be conducting grounds maintenance services with multiple clients and may involve working on housing estates, MOD sites, school grounds or large communal and private parks. Therefore, you may be required to undertake MOD vetting and/or a basic DBS background check. Support will be provided with this process where required. Key accountabilities and daily duties will include but are not limited to, grass cutting, litter picking, hedge, cutting, shrub maintenance, leaf clearing and weed spraying (appropriate training will be provided for this). You will receive training to understand compliance, with standards set out in the Company quality system, e.g. point of work and site-specific risk assessments. Successful applicants will have a responsibility to timely and accurately report near misses, accidents and incidents, ensuring preliminary investigations are carried out and consider next steps where required. You will have responsibility for keeping machinery and equipment in good working condition, expediting, rectification of faults as per Company procedures and processing logs/records in relation to mileage and fuel. You’ll work closely with other Grounds Maintenance Operatives, Team Leaders, Area Managers and Fitters on a regular basis.
