This is an exciting opportunity to be in an integral role as an Accounts Receivable Assistant within our vibrant Finance Team. We need you to help us with the timely and accurate monthly billing processes, reconciliations and producing customer invoices on a monthly cycle. Day-to-day duties will see you dealing with general queries, basic system administration and cash allocations.

This role will suit an individual with great customer service and relationship-building skills. The ability to work at pace is essential and as such, we are looking for confident, robust individuals who are quick learners and who can work efficiently and effectively. Individuals who express a natural preference for working in a process-driven, systematic manner and can work autonomously with diligence, attention to detail and initiative are likely to succeed in this role.

The nature of the role demands that the most suitable candidates will possess an excellent telephone manner and high levels of literacy and written English to issue effective written correspondence to our customers. You will demonstrate good levels of IT skills, with emphasis on Excel.

Candidates with previous experience with Sales Ledger in an Accounting or Finance related role would be of real interest to us but this is not essential. Of greatest importance to us is the enthusiasm to learn and progress and the ability to multi-task and manage your workload effectively. You will need to be deadline aware and a real team player. You will carry out the role with tact and diplomacy, and with the ability to deal with challenges in a confident and professional manner.

In this role, you will be expected to:

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE
Monthly billing duties : raising and sending customer invoices
Reconciliation of charges
Dealing with general customer queries
Basic accounting system administration to include setting up new customer files
Chasing for and maintaining an accurate log of outstanding purchase orders
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
You will have:
A minimum of 4 GCSE’s or equivalent : and qualifications required specifically in Maths and English
Be IT literate : if you have good experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) that would be really useful
Understanding or knowledge of Access Accounts would be advantageous
Experience of working in either an office or Finance environment : we are particularly keen to hear from you if you have a background, or competent skills gained from exposure to Sales Ledger
Demonstrable administration skills : working in this fast-paced environment you will need to keep on top of your game to ensure that deadlines are smashed not just met
A highly-organised individual : It goes without saying that you will possess exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills with meticulous attention to detail
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hours and environment

Our working week is 9am to 5.30pm Monday : Friday, however we support an agile and flexible working approach and seek to quantify achievement and output. As such, we have a degree of flexibility around working hours to fit both the needs of the business and our successful candidate. It goes without saying that flexibility on the individuals’ part to meet the needs of our business will be required.
