Stuart Inns is a family business in the heart of Suffolk, we have three restaurants that have won many awards and listed in numerous guides, Including 2 Rosettes and 5gold stars for its rooms. They have an opportunity for an apprentice to join the team.
This successful candidate will be responsible for:
•Maintaining high standards of hygiene.
•Preparing the ingredients for a more senior chef.
•Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately.
•Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation.
•Keep working section clean and tidy at all times.
•Ensure the cleaning schedule is adhered to and that cleaning tasks are carried out as appropriate.
•Learn about stock movement.
•Keep kitchen wastage to a minimum and help identify ways to improve profitability.
•Learn and record skills and recipes from other members of the kitchen.
•Ensure compliance with legal requirements under Safer Food Better Business.
•Comply with all policies, procedures, standards and guidelines ensuring they are carefully met.
