Find us based in Stoke Holy Cross Primary School, Norwich.  We collect children from Foundation class to Year 6 and accept children from Framingham Earl High School.

Working week
Monday and Friday AM: 7:15 to 9:00 Tuesday to Thursday PM: 15:00 to 18:15. Total hours per week: 22.20
Expected duration
18 months


A wonderful opportunity has become available to become one of the team at So Schools Out and work with children at one of their locations at Stoke Holy Cross Primary School.


  • Understand and adhere to the setting’s safeguarding policies
  • Follow all procedures to keep children safe, including E-Safety Guidelines and Code of Conduct
  • Ensure that others at the setting are adhering to the policy
  • Report safeguarding concerns about any adult working in the setting to the Manager following the setting’s whistle-blowing procedure
  • Update safeguarding and child protection knowledge annually and attend formal training every 3 years

Positive relationships:

  • Work under the direction of your Manager in a positive and respectful manner
  • Show a positive work ethic by being ready to start work, meetings and training on time with the correct clothes and equipment
  • Smile and talk to the children, adults and your colleagues. Be helpful and do extra
  • Show your positivity about childcare in your body language, attitude and energy
  • Be coachable; listen to instructions, ask questions and give it a go

Childcare & Education:

  • Support the social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional (SPICE) needs of all children attending the setting through considered planning of the environment and activities provided
  • Observe, extend and support children’s learning
  • Respect the confidentiality of children and their families
  • Maintain accurate and effective children’s records
  • Work in partnership with outside agencies, childcare professionals and Ofsted
  • Demonstrate good practice in supporting children with additional needs and inclusion
  • Carry out and meet the requirements of the Key Person role to a high standard, creating positive working relationships and partnerships with parents and to promote parental involvement
  • Learn about developments in early years childcare, education and Playwork


  • Ensure all policies and procedures for the day-to-day running of the setting are adhered to, including all record keeping
  • Work with other colleagues as a team to ensure the highest standards of care and education are provided for all children attending the setting
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach to day-to-day duties to ensure smooth running and operation of the setting
  • Assist the Manager during inspections and to assist in implementing any recommendations given by any regulatory body

Learning & Development:

  • Attend staff meetings and engage in self-development appraisals and supervisions
  • Demonstrate a willingness to attend training and to take opportunities for continuous professional development
