The Bridge Project is a social enterprise based in Sudbury, our main activities include a day service for people with learning disabilities, a meal delivery service for vulnerable adults, a supported housing project for people with learning disabilities, two cafes, a shop and a range of pop up and outside catering activities.. They have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice to join the team.
The post holder will be working primarily as a member of the team in our meal delivery service, activities will include:
Preparing food for cooking
Making sauces and puddings
Preparing salads and soups
Serving meals for delivery
Cleaning the kitchen area
You will be working within the catering team, working with both catering staff and delivery staff and volunteers.
Occasionally you may be required to work in the kitchen at the football club or at other town centre venues.
GCSE Grade A*-C in maths and English, or equivalent.
Full Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeship
Things to consider
The role requires alternate weekend working. You will also be standing all day.
A permanent job within the catering team may be available on completion of the Apprenticeship
