Rainbows Day Nursery
Job title: Apprentice / Trainee
Salary: £7.55 per hour / £15,704 per annum.
Contract hours : up to 40 hours per week
Holiday : up to 28 days per year

Duties:
- Assisting in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
- Supporting children’s development through play and learning activities.
- Helping with daily routines such as meals, naps, and outdoor play.
- Learning how to observe and assess children’s progress in line with EYFS guidelines.
- Working closely with experienced practitioners to develop your skills and knowledge.
- To follow the nursery safeguarding procedure to ensure all children are kept safe, well and secure.
Skills:
- A passion for working with children and helping them thrive.
- A willingness to learn and complete a Level 3 childcare qualification.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Great communication and teamwork skills.

Rainbows Day Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check. You will be asked to make a criminal conviction declaration if you are shortlisted for the post. Guidance about whether a conviction or caution should be disclosed can be found on the Ministry of Justice website.
All applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide two suitable references.
