Employer Description
Haltermann Carless is a leading global provider of speciality chemicals. A vacancy has arisen for new and exciting role within the maintenance team.
Main responsibilities:
Design of Electrical and control systems for plant improvements and new projects.
Assist with the inspection, maintenance and management of electrical, instrumentation and control systems at Harwich.
Undertake design and specification activity including CAD drawing for the modification and replacement of plant and equipment.
Maintain and update engineering records including maintenance inspection schedules and equipment registers.
Be able to plan and implement changes on site involving the procurement of parts and services and the co-ordination and planning of work activities.
Be able to test and commission new and modified installations.
Entry requirements
GCSE Grade 4 or above in maths and English, or equivalent, is required.
Skills required
Electrical or Electronic Experience.
Experience of maintenance management systems and or project work in a process industry preferred ideally multi-discipline.
English and computer literate. Experience with databases, MS Excel and AutoCAD.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities whilst keeping an eye on the detail.
Experience of working within or understanding of health & safety standards and regulations.
Personal qualities
Willingness to train and learn new skills.
Enthusiastic.
An interest in Engineering.
Good communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with engineering and operational staff.

Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship
Things to consider
This is an office based role with site review of plant and production operations. The salary will be £15000 - £19000 per year dependent on experience.
