Contract : Fixed Term Apprenticeship for 14 months
Hours : Full time: 37.5 hours per week. Hours will vary and will entail shift working to include early, late, evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
**14 month Fixed Term Contract - Apprenticeship**
We welcome applications from individuals wishing to become an Apprentice and gain experience in the NHS. You will develop new skills and knowledge whilst working with an established team gaining valuable work experience and a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
You will be enrolled with a local education provider and will be required to complete your Level 2 Clinical Healthcare Diploma within the duration of the placement.

Gynaecology Outpatients is an extremely busy outpatient department, which cares for women with all aspects of gynaecological conditions and problems.
The department provides a range of services to support the diagnosis and treatment of Gynaecology related symptoms. Clinics are available in general gynaecology, menstrual disorders, uro-gynaecology, gynae-oncology and symptoms of menopause. We have specialist clinicians who are able to care for women with certain conditions, such as post-menopausal bleeding, vulval symptoms and colposcopy. Our nursing staff co-ordinate the daily clinics and provide support during any investigation or procedure performed in this outpatient setting.
We provide a nurse-led service for the care of women using alternative methods to surgical intervention for the treatment of prolapses. We offer an outpatient procedure service, which can provide a diagnosis and or a suitable treatment at the same appointment.
We are looking for a flexible and motivated individual to work as an Apprentice Health Care Assistant within the Gynaecology Out-Patients Department. You will be required to work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team to contribute to the provision of the highest standards of patient care.
All applicants must be:
- Aged 16+
- Resident in the UK/EEA for the last three years
- Must not have a Degree, Level 4 qualification or above
- Must NOT be in any form of formal government-funded education
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Good general standard of education
- 4 GCSE’s at Grade D or above
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good IT skills
