Pruce Newman are seeking 2 Apprentice Pipe Fitter to learn skills in pipefitting and skills in Fabrication & Welding. You will be based at various sites across East Anglia.

5 x 8 hour Monday to Friday. Total hours per week: 40.00.

4 years. 


  • You will work alongside skilled Pipefitters and Welders
  • Assisting  in the measuring, fabrication and installation of Pipework, Steelwork, Plant and Machinery
  • Working with Carbon steel, Stainless steel, plastics, Copper and Polypropylene materials
  • Includes jointing methods of welded, threaded, glued, compression, soldered and fusion.
  • You will be expected to travel to and from work, in and around East Anglia in your own vehicle.
  • Duties will include some general labouring tasks.
  • Attending college one day per week and more often on occasions if required.
  • After the first two years you will be capable of operating:
  • Hand tools, power cutting equipment, threading machines, cutting pipe to length
  • chamfering pipe in readiness for welding
  • Operating hand & hydraulic bending equipment
  • Making simple brackets
  • Fitting & joining pipes
  • Using oxygen 7 acetylene cutting gear & hydraulic pressure testing
