This is an exciting opportunity to begin a career in engineering with whilst working at PPI Engineering in a small but busy design team, using the company CAD software system Creo-Elements/Direct Draughting & Creo-Elements/Direct modelling to produce detailed design layouts along with fully detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.

Monday to Friday shifts TBC. Total hours per week: 37.50.

2 years apprenticeship.

You will be required to:  

  • Production of accurate manufacturing drawings from information provided by Electrical & Mechanical design departments
  • Production of full assembly drawings & parts lists from manufacturing drawings
  • Production of accurate 3D models for use with Ansys FEA software as well as being used as a marketing tool

The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description. The particular duties and responsibilities attached to the post may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed.

The Level 2 Engineering Manufacture Framework is primarily delivered in the workplace with 1 day a week attendance at college.  Should you not possess suitable concession qualifications, you are also required to attend college to undertake Functional Skills Qualifications.

Depending upon previous experience and qualifications, this could be offered as a Level 3 Apprenticeship.
