We’re providing the foundation for our lives, building the places where we live and work, play and in-between. The team are looking to recruit for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician Apprentice.
As an Apprentice Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you’ll support the vital need to uphold quarry site production.
Main roles and responsibilities:
You’ll be dismantling, examining, replacing, and reassembling mechanical and electrical systems and components.
Servicing and maintaining equipment.
Working on yellow machinery to equipment that deals with dust; there will be lots to learn.
Covering our West Deeping, Willington and Potton Quarries.
Entry requirements
Essential:
Have achieved 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English at grade C+ or 5 and above on new grading.

Training to be provided
The learner will be studying the Mechatronics Maintenance Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
Day release to North Cambridgeshire Training Centre (Chatteris).
Things to consider
If you’re one to tiptoe around puddles with trepidation, maybe this role isn’t for you. You won’t be spending every day in a clean, corporate office swivelling on an office chair! If you have a natural affinity with the great outdoors, in all weathers, then now we’re talking!.
Future prospects
There are opportunities to not only become a qualified mechanical maintenance technician, but also progress into area and management roles.
