We have a dedicated network team with an excellent blend of Operational and Design expertise working together to deliver a robust network service for Suffolk County Council’s estate.
As an Apprentice Network Engineer, you need to demonstrate a passion for technology and giving great value customer service. You’ll also need to have the desire to learn quickly using many different methods, from on the job training, documentation and self-learning.
You will be:
•working as part of a team to support incident and service requests raised, and liaise with the Service Desk
•escalating incidents with third party providers
•maintaining configuration management across all network assets
•assisting with patching and upgrade of network and firewall equipment to maintain compliance.
•assisting with managing and prioritising business as usual activities and project tasks
•managing and completing changes via Suffolk County Councils change management processes
•making sound risk based decisions based on knowledge and information available.
What you’ll get in return is working in a dedicated network team, which is part of Suffolk County Councils Design and Platforms team. You will play a key role in Operational and Project work with access to work on leading vendor technology on a large and complex multi-tenanted network. You will also have exposure to sound business processes.
