FSM is a small to medium sized business based in Haverhill and has been trading for over 40 years. The business operates from 15,000 square foot premises. FSM are specialists in sheet metal fabrication, security doors & access control products along with a whole host of products for various industries that are made from sheet metal or tube.

The company uses various equipment and processes including laser cutting, punching, forming/bending, Mig & Tig welding, cleaning, sawing, drilling and engraving. Materials used in our processes include mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and brass. We focus on meeting our customer requirements for quality and on time delivery.

Main description

  • Assisting welders & learning how to Mig/Tig weld various materials, learning how to clean these items customers’ requirements.
  • Assisting laser operator 
  • Assisting punch operator 
  • Assisting press operator 
  • Assisting machine shop drilling, tapping, countersinking, milling, turning inserting & sawing 
  • Assisting security door team to assemble, wrap & pack
  • Assist security department with engraving, stud welding & various assembly duties

Entry requirements

A good level of English and Maths is required, both verbal and written.

Training to be Provided

General Welder Level 2

Things to consider

Working to deadlines and need to be proactive. The job can be quite physical and bending and lifting will be required.
