Up to 24 months
Upon commencement, apprentices may become student members of the Association for Project Management (APM) as the first step of professional membership. Apprentices will be eligible for progression to associate membership upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Your role

The primary purpose of this post is to:

support the efficient delivery of projects on behalf of the Suffolk Climate Change Partnership (SCCP), including a comprehensive range of administrative duties
work with the Community Support Officer and Partnership Manager to support the delivery of projects and behaviour change campaigns to businesses, communities and residents as required.
Your role will play a key role in assisting Suffolk’s Councils work towards a Net Zero Suffolk by 2030, provide support to the members of the Suffolk Climate Change Partnership (SCCP) which includes all Suffolk’s Local Authorities as well as other organisations working across the county.

Your responsibilities

This post is a key support role for the SCCP, providing a customer focussed first point of contact, and providing administrative and project support for the scheme, including, purchasing and processing of invoices, financial and project activity record keeping and assisting with grant claim preparation. In addition, the post holder will be required to work closely with partners and stakeholders providing practical support in the setting-up and delivery of public events and activities.

Entry requirements

  • 5 GCSEs grades A-C or 4-9 (or equivalent) including Maths, English and a Science subject and hold a minimum of 48 UCAS points, or equivalent.
  • Good standards of written and verbal communication and be IT literate
  • A willingness to learn with an interest in the environment
  • To be able to work in a team and be self-motivated
  • A positive attitude, commitment and enthusiasm.
