As an Apprentice Site Carpenter, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in preparing and fixing building components, from the initial erection of a new building, through to the installation of all necessary fixtures and fittings, as well as a range of repair and maintenance activities.

Total Hours per Week/Working Days/Start and Finish Time? 37.5 hours 4 days plus one weekend day. Time allocated for lunch break (mins): 60 minutes. Is lunch paid? No. Shifts TBC. Total hours per week: 37.50.

24 months apprenticeship.

As an Apprentice Site Carpenter, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in preparing and fixing building components, from the initial erection of a new building, through to the installation of all necessary fixtures and fittings, as well as a range of repair and maintenance activities

Main duties will include:

  • Carrying out tasks such as measuring, marking out, fitting, cutting, splicing, finishing, positioning, and securing
  • Installing door and window frames, as well as, door and hatch linings
  • Installing floor joist coverings, straight partitions and straight staircases
  • Install doors, ironmongery, service encasements, wall and floor units and fitments, cladding and staircase components
  • Erect inclined roofs with gables, joists, roof coverings and roof components
