We are looking to appoint an exceptional apprentice teaching assistant to support high quality teaching and learning.

We are looking for an apprentice teaching assistant to join our friendly and supportive team for September 2025. You will be supported to complete your Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprentice Qualification.

The role :

To work in accordance with the Professional Standards for Teaching Assistants
To work under the guidance of the class teacher to implement agreed work programmes with individuals or groups of pupils to promote effective teaching and learning.
To provide general support to the class teacher in the management and organisation of the pupils and the classroom. 
To assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment.
To promote the inclusion of all pupils.
Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area including.
To contribute to the safeguarding and protection of all pupils. 

Entry requirements

GCSE Maths and English at grades 4 or above required.
Functional Skills can be studied, depending on previous grades.

Training to be provided

The learner will be studying the Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.

Things to consider

The role is based in foundation with 4-11 year olds, mainly working in a classroom but some opportunities to work in the garden area / Forest School area. Some experience working with children would be great as well as first aid, however it is not essential.
