Styne Ltd are a specialist engineering company situated on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. Styne prides itself on providing a quality product and consistent services to our customers with a strong focus to the food and beverage industry. They have an exciting opportunity for two Apprentices to join the team.
Main description
The successful applicants will work alongside existing qualified pipefitters and welders. They will be fabricating and welding pipework and steelwork on site and in the workshop at several locations. They will be learning how to use and working with various engineering tools day to day including:
Welders
Thermal cutting equipment
Grinders
Drills
Threading machines
Standard week will be Monday – Friday, 8am – 4.30pm but this is dependent on location and type of work.
Entry requirements
GCSE grade C (5) or above in maths and English, or equivalent.
Training to be Provided
Level 2 General Welder Apprenticeship
Things to consider
The candidate will require a full UK Driving Licence and their own vehicle to get to and from work, or be able to make other travel arrangements. There is also a requirement the candidate is happy for lodging away from home anywhere in the UK when work is in areas outside of East Anglia.
Future Prospects
You could become a coded welder in structural or pipework, site/workshop supervisor, a manager, or Design Engineer. Styne Ltd are very proactive in recruiting internally and when a new position becomes available are very keen on looking at their current staff to see any potential with in and harness it.
