Our trainee instructors play a key role in the operation of Thorpe Woodlands and provide a great opportunity to gain some valuable experience in the outdoor industry while completing training and qualifications. The Trainee Instructors primary role is to support the delivery of outdoor and adventurous activities and to assist with duties relating to this. We aim to ensure that our trainees continuously learn and develop. By the end of the placement we would like all trainees to have the competence and confidence to become a qualified professional instructor – hopefully at Thorpe Woodlands!
Hours of Work: Average up to 37 hours per week
Pay: This role is paid the national minimum wage for apprenticeships (£4.15 per hour x 37 hours per week) £153.55 per week. In addition to this you will receive training, experience and NGB Qualifications.
Start Date: May 2021
End Date: November 2022 (Negotiable)
Work Base: Thorpe Woodlands Adventure Centre, Shadwell, Norfolk, IP24 2RX
- Must be 18 or approaching 18th birthday·
- Must be willing to work flexibly and to undertake a wide range of activities/duties·
- Must be physically fit and active
- Having access to own transport would be an advantage·
- Must enjoy working/supporting children and young people
Expected start date: 04/05/2021
Schedule: 8 hour shift
