Customers, products and service
Ensure that the service you provide is to the highest possible standard and in line with Service Scan/steps, at all times.
Maintain good customer relations at all times for example, by greeting customers warmly and, where possible, seeking to “wow” the customer.
Recognise different customer needs and adapt your service style to accommodate these needs.
Demonstrate excellent product knowledge of food and drink.
Be accurate when taking and placing orders.
Ensure that you have all items ready that are necessary for the shift, for example, stationery, ice, fruit etc.
Follow good standards of housekeeping by ensuring that cleaning tasks are completed as directed by the Shift Leader/Duty Manager/Supervisor.
Follow opening and closing procedures rigorously.
Assist the person running the shift in maintaining an appropriate atmosphere at all times.
Ensure that your section is running smoothly at all times and seek help where necessary.
Respect your work place (including equipment and machinery) through cleanliness and care.
During quiet periods use your initiative to find appropriate jobs, for example following the daily/weekly/monthly cleaning lists, improving product knowledge etc.
Adhere to licensing laws.
