Our store in Cambridge are looking for a minimum 16 hrs per week Barista/Coffee Shop Assistant.

Main description

The hours will be spread across the week and will include at least one evening and one Saturday or Sunday shift.

Dunelm’s coffee shops, affectionately titled Pausa, are positively thriving and it is our Coffee Shop Assistants that are at the very heart of their success.

They contribute to a wide range of expectations, including the preparation of our delicious range of food and beverages, providing excellent customer service and continuously developing and upholding customer relationships

Whilst meeting high standards for Health and Safety and Food Hygiene, our Coffee Shop Assistants function as part of a tight knit team, working well under pressure and excelling in product knowledge.

As part of this role you will be working, and in contact with a variety of different ingredients including dairy, nuts, meat products including pork.

  • Serving hot and cold beverages.
  • Dishing up our delicious savoury and sweet food items.
  • Ensuring all cooked food is nice and hot. 
    Keeping the restaurant tables clear and sanitised as promptly as possible.
  • Loading and unloading the dishwashers .
  • Providing an exceptional standard of cleanliness throughout the kitchen, service area and restaurant.

Personal qualities

  • You’ll have previous involvement working closely with a team and you’ll ideally have prior work experience in a similar environment.
  • That you are a polite, hard-working individual who just loves to provide a friendly customer dining experience.
  • A complete team player who never fails to contribute and loves the satisfaction of a job well done and a smile on our customers faces.
  • You’ll be a flexible individual able to work across the weekends and evenings.
