This is a new role to support with busy and growing business. Core duties include:-
Reception duties – being the first point of contact for meeting and greeting customers and handling enquiries. Receiving calls on a switchboard, managing our technicians diaries, taking payments and performing administrative tasks – all according to company policies and procedures and observing relevant regulations and policies in terms of COVID19
Follow instructions and duties as required and deal with issues that arise, according to company policies and procedures, always maintaining a quality service.
This will lead to some decision making in the future when you are established within the role. Duties may include general admin, filing, research and some cleaning, especially in the current climate.
Logging information and maintaining detailed, accurate records for invoicing and monitoring purposes. Utilising a variety of IT programs and software.
Communicating and liaising both verbally and in writing between clients, suppliers, visitors, enquirers and relevant staff, this will ensure that you have a strong understanding of the organisation and the industry.
Ensuring Reception and common areas are clean and tidy and the general overall appearance is maintained.
Maintain and report promptly any faults on office equipment or property issues including any equipment faults reported by the technicians.
Adhering to stated policies and procedures relating to health & safety and quality management.
Adhere to confidentiality and data protection rules.
Some project management as the company grows, develops and pivots with the changing face of business.
Pursuing your personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of your role.
Providing cover for absence where needed (not technicians, office based)
Maintain a professional manner at all times and take part in performance management for both yourself and in time other members of the team.

GCSE Maths & English – 5 or above

As well as being well organised, motivated and willing to learn, the successful candidate should also demonstrate an ability to build rapport and how this can lead to successful long term relationships with clients. A keen attention to detail is essential and a strong interest in Customer Service and Business administration. Working as part of a team is also essential. A friendly and approachable individual, enthusiastic and willing to learn. We are looking for an individual who wants to progress within their career.

Things to consider
Pest Control is not everyone’s cup of tea but we aim to make the experience our customer’s have smooth and stress free so an empathetic nature would be real a bonus. The industry is very heavily regulated so there may be some additional learning eventually to allow you to progress within our company. Approximately 35 hours per week between the hours of 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday. With the current situation working hours will need to be flexible to reflect any changes to working patterns etc. Starting salary will be £4.15 per hour and will be reviewed after a probationary period.
Upon demonstrating the correct level of personal skill and commitment, as well as successfully completing the apprenticeship programme our apprentice would be offered the opportunity to continue their personal development within our team.
