Main description
Quality Care Homegivers offers excellent care services for the elderly, individuals who need assistance and people who have debilitating illness. Established in 2013, we visit clients in their own home for their convenience and we cover Stowmarket and surroundings areas. There is an opportunity for an care apprentice to join the team.
You would be working various shifts e.g. 07.00 to 14.00, 16.00 to 22.00. this will include alternative weekend working. You
must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle as the role involves driving to clients houses. We are covering Stowmarket and surroundings areas including Bacton, Wetherden, Haughley, Mendlesham.
What does the role involve?
As a Care Assistant with ourselves you'll be:
Assisting with Washing/Dressing
Assisting with Showering/Bathing
Meal Preparation
Assisting with Medication
Providing Companionship
Accompanying Customers to Appointments
Shopping
Covid 19 - All staff are provided with full PPE, weekly covid testing as well access to vaccinations.

Entry requirements
GCSE Grade C (4) or above in maths and English, or equivalent.
Required either:
Care work experience of at least 2 years, or Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
Skills required

Able to provide care and support to individuals which is nondiscriminatory and respects their rights and choices.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with others.
Ability to observe and record and share as appropriate, information relevant to service user care.
Following appropriate training, able to provide direct personal/domestic care in accordance with service user’s assessed needs.
Ability to work to required policies, procedures and standards.
Able to work independently with individuals, responding flexibly to changing circumstances and taking appropriate decisions.
Ability to contribute to a team approach to care planning and delivery.
Aware of health and safety requirements and able to promote safe working practices.
Have a commitment to confidentiality.
Ability to be flexible.
Desirable
Experience of writing daily reports.
Previous experience of caring for individuals with a range of complex needs.
Experience of working independently in a relatively isolated situation.
Awareness and understanding of the values we work to in social care.
Personal qualities
A caring nature.

Feel comfortable working independently in others homes.
Training to be Provided
Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 Apprenticeship
Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care
Things to consider
You will need to have a driving license and access to a vehicle. You must be available alternative weekends. It is highly desirable that you live within the area/s we cover. You must be 18 or over to be considered for this role as there is lone working.
Future Prospects
There is a chance of a job offer at the end of the apprenticeship.
