Old Cannon Brewery, owned by Innventure Ltd, are a Gastro Pub with fresh food great quality food. We are also a brewery, creating Ales which we sell across the South East. These beer are infused into our dishes from our Bread to Yorkshire Puddings. We are a 50 seater Restaurant with a large new sheltered Terrace with 120 covers.
We have an exciting opportunity for 2 commis chef apprentices to join the team.
We are dagger focused on becoming the best Pub in Bury and are looking for motivated team members to support and learn in the Kitchen. We are looking for inspired individuals who are passionate about food and cooking. They will learn from a talented head chef who went through the same chef apprenticeship program.
Daily duties include:
Cleaning and deep cleaning the kitchen
Run you own section, once trained
Label and manage stock rotation
GCSE Grade 4(C) or above in maths and English, or equivelant, is desired.
Food Safety Level 2 is required.
Ability to follow instruction
Basic knife skills
Strong organisational skills
Passion for food
Ability to listen
Good at timekeeping

Things to consider
How will you travel to the Cannon? There is no parking onsite and it is 10 minutes to the nearest free parking on foot. We are looking for people who really want to be chefs and have passion.
Innventure Ltd are a group of 7 restaurants, hotels and pubs. 3 of our current head chefs started in the apprenticeship scheme. There is opportunity for progression should the positions become available.
