20 hours per week - Minimum 12-month contract
Mid-Norfolk Railway Preservation Trust operates the Heart of Norfolk heritage railway currently running between Dereham and Wymondham Abbey, with plans to restore the line northwards to North Elmham and County School.
Due to the continued success of the railway, we are currently looking to employ a part-time Customer Service Administrator at our Dereham station. Reporting to the Office Manager, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service through answering of telephone enquiries, written queries (including email) and at times face to face customer interactions. Duties will include processing general service bookings, as well as bookings for special events across the year. You will cover all the duties attached to the sales ledger, entering details to the Sage accounts system. You will also be expected to provide administrative assistance to the finance team and other departments within the organisation as and when required.
The post is for an initial 12-month contract with the possibility of a permanent position at the end. Core hours will be 20 per week, weekdays 10 until 2, although you will be expected to work additional paid hours at peak times should there be a specific business requirement.
