They have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice to join the team.

Main description

As a Customer Services / Insurance Adviser within our vibrant and dynamic team, you’ll play a key role in the success of an expanding local business, ensuring our customers benefit from the local, friendly service and have their expectations exceeded every time they deal with us. Providing exceptional administrative support, you’ll handle enquiries, paperwork, sales tasks and payments with a ‘can-do’ proactive enthusiasm.

The chances are, you’ll have already worked in a similar role, so will be no stranger to applying an excellent telephone manner and a flexible, people-orientated approach to everything you do.

Above all though, you’ll relish the challenge of being part of a truly customer-focused, ambitious team. In return, you can expect full training in a friendly and supportive environment.

Entry requirements

Minimum English & Maths GCSE grades A*-C (9-4).

Skills required
Essential -

Effective written and verbal communication
Problem solving
Attention to detail
Good IT skills and ability to learn bespoke software and systems.

Desirable -

Basic knowledge of insurance, sales / customer service skills, experience in a customer-facing environment

Personal qualities
Essential -

Good judgement

Desirable -

Able to communicate on multiple levels with colleagues in a wide cross-section of age brackets

Training to be Provided

Full Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship

Things to consider

Office-based role, dealing with inbound and outbound telephone calls, long periods of working at a computer. Ability to multi-task, take on a lot of information and use multiple systems concurrently as well as provide a high level of customer service for a demanding customer base.

Future Prospects

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, we would expect the applicant to develop from the Customer Service role into Sales, Claims, Business Support / Renewals, and there is even scope with experience to move into Team Leader or Management roles in time.
