So much more than bricks and mortar…

Suffolk Coastal District Council and Waveney District Council are leading the way as a progressive local authority partnership and we are committed to improving the quality of life for everyone living in, working in and visiting east Suffolk.

We are currently working towards a full merger which will create the largest district council in the country – delivering vital services to those who need them most. It is a truly exciting time to join us.

With 4,500 retained housing stock in Waveney, an annual turnover of £20m and strong financial foundations, East Suffolk Housing is expanding their development programme with ambitious plans to build between 80 - 120 homes a year through an annual £10m investment which is a key part of our wider growth agenda for East Suffolk as a place to live, work and invest.

As part of this, we are looking for two ambitious people with a positive can do attitude to join our new innovative degree sponsored management programme.

During the four-year professional training programme, you will work within housing related service areas such as private sector housing, housing needs, tenant services, development, housing maintenance and research, whilst working and studying for an accredited degree in Housing Policy and Practice from the University of Salford.

To be eligible to apply, you will need Grade C or above GCSE English and mathematics (or equivalent) and 96 UCAS points (3 C’s at A level or equivalent).

You must be available to commence your Apprenticeship no later than 18 September 2017 in order to attend an introductory week block at University of Salford.

In return, we can offer great opportunities for training and development and we will give you all the support we can to build a great career with our organisation, including funding your attendance at the University of Salford.

There is also a superb benefits package including flexible working options, as well as a generous leave entitlement, discount scheme, pension scheme and free car parking.

*rising incrementally each academic year.
