Main Description
Breakthrough In Education are working with a school in Bury St Edmunds, we are currently looking to employ an SEMH Teaching Assistant to support a teacher with a pupil with SEMH needs.
Working with pupils with special educational needs can be extremely fulfilling and rewarding,
The ideal Teaching Assistant for the position will have experience of working with pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour
You will have a calm patient approach with the ability to engage well with pupils.
Experience of positive behaviour management and behaviour de-escalation would be beneficial.
Personal qualities
The ideal candidate:
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEMH Experience of working with secondary aged pupils.
- Behaviour management training
- TA qualification or equivalent is desirable
- Great communication skills
- Passion for working with young people
