Employability Keyworker– West Suffolk College – Bury St Edmunds -£23,445 - £25,038 depending on experience – Full time fixed term contract (November 2017- July 2018) Mon to Fri 08.30 – 17.00

An excellent opportunity has become available for an Employability Keyworker to join our expanding team here at West Suffolk College. Role responsibilities

Delivery of all Employability programmes in partnership with the DWP (job centre)
Preparing and developing social skills of students
Actively participate in the development of existing and new programmes.
Participate in programme team meetings, planning and resource development.
Keeping accurate records of students’ progress
Attend and represent WSC at careers conventions, open days etc. as requested by the Head of Positive Futures and Access to Apprenticeships (Traineeships).
Actively promote all West Suffolk College employability programmes to potential students, agencies and employers.
Provide students with ongoing mentoring and post programme support.

Qualifications and Experience

Relevant academic and or professional qualification preferably at degree level.
Ideally previous teaching experience.
Have the ability to teach/ coach over a range of employability programmes

This position could suit somebody who is looking to increase his or her teaching hours. The main purpose of this role is to assist in reducing the unemployment in the Eastern region through various engagement activities.
