A company based in Hadleigh has the opportunity for an Engineering Apprentice to learn how to set moulds, operate and program a variety of plastic injection moulding machines in preparation for production runs.
The successful applicant will work under the supervision of the head setter and other team members primarily learning the skill of setting mould tools and ancillary equipment in order to successfully run a vast variety of products. Other duties will include problem solving and learning how different types of plastic perform under different conditions and the monitoring and adjustment of machines in operation. The candidate will additionally learn about secondary operations in relation to moulding including printing, inserting and assembly work, measuring and inspection, packing and factory housekeeping.
